Meet Your Chiropractic Team at
Corbin Chiropractic Clinic
Dr. Francis Corbin
I am entering my twenty-seventh year as a chiropractor here in Renton. I still
get up each morning and thank GOD for my faith, family and profession as a
chiropractor.
To me life is lived by priorities, Faith comes first and foremost; you need it
to carry you through everything else. Family is next, I am grateful and very
proud of my family, which consists of my wife (Sandy) who has put up with me
for 36 years and is the clinics office manager. My daughter Kimberly is also a
chiropractor in our office, and my son Chad is in his last year of chiropractic
school.
I am currently on the board of our state organization, (WSCA) the Washington
State Chiropractic Association and have been appointed to the president elect
position for 2006. The International Chiropractors Association (ICA) honored
me, by electing me as The Chiropractor of the Year for 1999.
Dr. Kimberly Corbin
It was 1st grade when I was asked what kind of job I imagined
myself performing as an adult, I thought about that for quite a while. My
parents always encouraged my brother and I to think “big” and not limit our
selves. They said choosing a job that was enjoyable would make life happier. It
was shortly after that recommendation that I realized my dad always seemed
happy going to work and coming home each night. Considering that and the fact
that he worked only three days a week made my decision for me; I would follow
in dad’s footsteps and become a chiropractor.
Every three months my parents would fly to Atlanta, GA to obtain continuing
education, once or twice a year my brother and I traveled with them. Atlanta
started to seem like a second home and the other doctors, their wives and
children like extended family. When it came time for me to choose a
chiropractic school Life University in Marietta, GA seemed the obvious choice,
my home away from home.
I spent a total of eight years in school. Four years of pre-requisites and
another four years post graduate at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
During my last year of school I was one of the senior clinicians involved in a
specialized HIV research program. This study tracked correlations between HIV
positive patients and their physiological response to chiropractic care. The
program was a positive step in the care of HIV patients.
After passing the National Board examinations I graduated Life University June
of 1999 and moved back home to Renton, WA where I was born and raised. I took
the Washington State Board examination in July and received my doctor of
chiropractic license August of 1999. Since that time I’ve been practicing with
my father in this clinic.
Over the last five years I’ve focused most of my energy on establishing my
professional life and building my practice. I haven’t started a family of my
own yet but would like to in the next few years now that I’ve settled into my
profession.
I am currently a member of the Washington State Chiropractors Association
(WSCA).
